A good work/life balance is part of the Wisereach ethos, and we love to hear what other people have been up to.  Pete Chapman is working on a project for us in Dublin, but on the May Bank Holiday weekend he shrugged off his business suit, slipped on the Lycra, and set off with his three intrepid friends to cycle from Edinburgh to Newcastle on the Coast and Castles route:

This all came about last year when a friend of a friend announced that he’d always fancied cycling the Coast to Coast to celebrate his 50th Birthday. Somehow I got roped in, most probably because I had all the necessary qualifications i.e. I was over 50 and owned a bike (well 4 actually but who’s counting)! Whilst the C2C was tough in places I thoroughly enjoyed it and so when a friend announced midway through 2016 that he’d like to do the Coast and Castles cycle route for his 50th I was tasked with organising the whole trip. Coast and Castles starts at Edinburgh and officially ends at Newcastle (upon Tyne) but as we live about 40 miles South of Newcastle we decided we’d cycle all the way home...
